NEW BEST FRIEND

this is what our bathroom looks like on almost a daily basis now.

So i now carry a plunger around with me in the house. Last week I wasn't able to fix our toilet so the plumber came out. I wasn't home when he came, but got a call from Justin saying - he pulled out a Dannon yogurt from our toilet. And in the nicest way possible (if it IS possible), justin went on to ask - you didn't see them do this? Key for - Where were YOU!? HA! probably getting a massage in the other room or taking a bubble bath. you know i do that kind of thing everyday ;)

and who is the culprit???

MASON! I never had this problem with Cole. But now since Mason is doing it, he thinks he might as well start too. This is the look i get when i ask him if he messed with the toilet...

playing catch up

since i only get into the blogging world about once a month (if i'm lucky), here is what our family has been up to since easter!

PEBBLE BEACH
need i say more!? it was gorgeous! and justin and i had 5 days to just hang out and veg together. it was a fun vacation...
i played my first official round of golf and they say this is a top notch course. i wanted to start with only the best ;)

i would say this is perfect form (if i knew what i was talking about), wouldn't you!?

and i hate to admit this, but i can see now why the guys love this stuff. i mean it was beautiful on the course and i had a blast. i know, you're rolling your eyes and throwing things at me right now - don't worry, i would never admit this to justin ;) ha!

the boys went crazy for shamu. we closed the park down. for those of you interested, they had a great deal going - buy one ticket and it's good for the rest of the year (and don't forget the triple A discount too!)

once mason realized shamu wasn't going to come and get him, he was silly for shamu

some of my friends think i'm a little bit of a freak about the health thing but that's okay. i am a little bit freaky. so i'll find out all the crazy info and then tell you about it and you can do what you want with it - and here is my most recent finding: this website. i looove it. and the big topic right now is plastic. a lot of it is pretty bad so in our house, we got rid of almost everything. yup - all plastic is gone for us. there are some they say are okay but you should check yours out - just want you all to be safe. check out the "safe" list on the left side of the website

footprints

so a friend gave me a great idea and it worked so well, i want to share it....
i know easter is long gone BUT try this next year...
Cole woke up to find bunny FOOTPRINTS all over the house where the easter bunny had been! i thought he would get super excited and run all over - i was wrong. he freaked! he ran to justin's leg and attached himself for the next half hour saying, "the bunny is IN our HOUSE. and mama, he made our house VERY DIRTY." he was so serious and concerned - i was dying. once he realized the footprints led to eggs with candy and prizes, it was all good. he fell in love with the bunny footprints!

First Birthday...First Haircut...First Fat Lip

so it's official....mason is finally one! and with his first birthday, came his first haircut and first fat lip from his brother. thanks cole. let the fighting begin....

I am angered....over the healthcare issue - i'm pretty opinionated about this one so don't get me started :)

I hear....nothing right now, it's great - both kids asleep

I drink....lots of water and milk

I hate....mean and rude people

I use…..lots of paper towels - and feel guilty about it everytime

I want......to be able to eat whatever i want and be skinny ... wishful thinking!

I like.....traveling to foreign countries

I feel....so lucky to have two sweet boys and a loving husband

I wear...hardly any jewelry

I left... the faucet on the other day (with the drain plugged)and water was everywhere in the kitchen - i did not mention this to justin b/c he already thinks i have lost my mind ;)

I do..... squats in the shower (so embarassing but so true) - i guess i think doing 3 squats a day will actually help my booty

I hope.... everyone finds some kind of happiness

I dream....of becoming someone that makes a significant contribution to the world

I drive...pretty agressive - justin does not like my driving

I listen....to all types of music but am a country girl at heart ~ yee haw.

I type...like 2 words a minute

I think.... this world is one hell of a crazy place. i'm just thankful for the people i have around me

I need... to potty train cole (but i'm dreading it so it won't happen anytime soon)

I wish...i could slow down time

I am....a happy person

I regret....hurting people

I care....more about my family's health and safety than anything

I should.....go to bed

I am.....ready to relax to my girlfriends breathing CD :)

I said....some really stupid things over the years

I cry.....when my friends are sad and i love crying when it's because we're laughing so hard

i was so impressed with what this baby can do, that i contacted the instructors in arizona, begging them to bring a class here. anyway, i guess enough people did the same thing and so now they are coming! they are starting classes in a few weeks. if you are interested, the instructor's information is at the bottom.

Cole can already swim but i always wonder if he fell in with his clothes ON, would he be able to get to the side and not panic. the panicking is what scares me. anyway, they guarantee babies that aren't walking to be able to do what the baby in the video did for 5 mintues or if your child CAN walk, then fully dressed they will be able to swim to the edge and get out.

Lessons are one-on-one, Mon-Fri., and each lesson is no longer than 10 minutes per day. During the 5-week period there are going to be 2 Holidays that the facility will be closed for. We may need to reschedule those days for the previous or following Saturday so please let me know if this will not be an option for you. Lesson fees are $100/wk. There is a $105 National Registration fee per child. If you would like to register your child and/or have any questions, please feel free to contact me any time. Time and space is running out. I will be holding the lessons at the City of Las Vegas Aquatics, 431 E. Bonanza, Las Vegas. It is located right off the 95 near the I-15 & 95 spaghetti. We are so excited to have finally found an indoor facility that is pretty central to all of you.

okay so i'm trying to change things up a bit! it's a work in progress and i don't have the patience to do it all tonight, soooo... my blog will keep changing until i can figure out something i like (which might take a REALLY long time!)...

Christmas at the cabin...it doesn't get better than that! Our favorite parts: sledding in the backyard, cutting down another tree, lots of new toys, boarding, snow shoeing, fresh powder, football and tv time, good food, grandma, grandpa, auntie lindsay and our other McCall friends!
